Here I am... There I go...
Aug. 21st, 2005 09:15 pmIn case any of you were wondering if I had any spare time now that the show is over...
I don't.
Babylock Tech is this week. This is the big country-wide dealer's training seminar that the Tacony Corporation puts together once a year. It happens downtown. I was given a choice: Go to the fabulous training of doom for free, or stay behind at the store and get paid.
I opted to get paid.
What this MEANS, though, is that starting Tuesday, I am working an 11 day stretch.
Yep.
Because after all my coworkers return from a week's worth of training, we have Bernina training on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Mandatory.
Then, the South store has decided that I *AM* God's Gift (Again) so they want me every Thursday and Friday indefinitely.
Hence, working 11 days straight through.
Money! Mm-mm-mm-mm-mmmmyeah!
What does this mean? It means that I will finally have a very full paycheck, and might just be able to get out from under this overdraft problem. It also means that I won't be socializing much, since I will have to be at work every morning, including Saturday. It means that I will get some awesome new training, but it also means that I will have to put off car stuff for another couple of weeks. (No time to DO it, no money right now, either.)
The price of theater, I suppose. No wonder they smiled and gave me my week of vacation with no fuss at all. They were preparing to FCC me in the @ss later in the month!
So, if you don't hear from me, it isn't because I don't like you or because I'm falling into post-show blues.
I'm just busier than a one-armed paperhanger!
Labor Day weekend, however, there will be awesome fun!

Date: 2005-08-23 10:09 pm (UTC)I haven't even had the nicety of having a set schedule. It has been changed twice without my permission and relatively minimal notice. Sigh.
