I met him, briefly. Delightful fellow. I remember his smile, mostly.

I just got the news in e-mail from a cow-orker, and even though I'm not really that much of a ST:TOS fan, it felt like a physical impact.

Ok. First of all, I can't resist asking you:

You know someone who Orks cows? Wow!!

Ok. Silliness over.

Yeah. I knew he would pass on soon, but it still bothers me. I didn't really hang out with him the last time he was a guest at a convention since I was busy working the con, but I did get to meet him and say Hi. What a nice fellow. He will be missed.

All right, to be honest, I don't know for sure that he Orks cows. Despite playing World of Warcraft for several months (he claims he's quitting, but he'll be back), I don't know if he's played any of the Horde races. And really, cows don't give any XP in WoW, though I guess they could be useful for a beginning leatherworker to gather raw materials.

(I hade to make myself put the hyphen in the right place this morning when I e-mailed my parents about something a co-worker said.)

Snerk. Cow-Orker. It's really good, actually. I'll reserve it for a really good insult sometime. Or perhaps I should start referring to the people I'm forced to work with day in and day out by that title.

"Cow" is actually a verb. I can visualize a Tauren (As in Minotaur) "Cowing" an Ork.

But what does the verb "Ork" mean?
