kukla_tkoMost of you here are unlikely to know this person, but I made a friend at Jackman's. I'm going to call her G.E. for our purposes here.
Her husband was abruptly moved to Mobile, Alabama for work. They have three pets that cannot move with the family because they're moving to a rental unit.
There are two dogs and a cat who desperately need homes. Here is her descriptions of them:
I'd LOVE to keep Steel myself, but I would have to build a gate for that to happen. Plus, a dog would put me over my pet limit here in Vinita Park, and I already have two adults living here and it's crowded as it is. (And Bel would never EVER forgive me, I think.) If someone could take any of these pets but needs time, let me know. I am willing to let them stay with me on a very VERY temporary basis. The family is moving in 7 days.

The cat is named Poe. He is about 4 or 5, unaltered and has his claws. Good with other animals. More like a dog than a cat. Only eats dry food (meow mix indoor formula is his favorite) He is not a mouser but likes to hunt bugs. In the four years that I have had him I have seen three spiders. He killed a nest of bees that were in my basement that I didn't know where there.
Steel is a silver lab/husky mix. 4 years old. Birthday is feb. 9th. He is fixed. He gained weight after he was fixed but he is a good boy. Better off with a yard with a fence. Is OK on a leash but still needs some work. Loves to be in a harness and pulls up to 50lbs. He also likes to chase rabbits and squirrels.
Rory (Aurora) is a basset hound/shepherd mix. She is 4 as well. Birthday is dec. 28th. She is fixed. She is GREAT with kids. Loves dress up and cuddling. She is a good girl and walks on a leash.
