Ho Ho Ho... whoa!
Dec. 1st, 2011 08:04 pmSantarchy is the 17th of December.
I have a silly project for it, and I want to know if anyone has any scrap yarn? I'm looking for leftovers, particularly red or green or white or gold, but any color is fine. I'm not looking for latch-hook pieces, but short strands that can be wound into balls.
If anyone has any, let me know.
I want to know if any of my readers wishes to participate in Santarchy this year.
Let me point out that it is NOT a requirement to march for thirteen hours. I haven't "Done the whole thing" except for one year a long time ago. My personal plan is to join in at the Loop (it's RIGHT there) and do last year's cleverness and bring the truck from the loop proper to the metrolink station (to beat the rush). I'll probably stick around until Union Station, but once we get to the marching in earnest I can't keep up with the hale and hearty Santas. It's possible that if the downtown schedule changes somewhat that I'll stick around until dinner time.
After that, it's back to the Mint Cookie for "christmas" movies on the big screen and warm comfort foods and warm drinks. And booze. :D
Having a mellow, low-key after party has been something I look forward to for a few years now. Having it at my house means a nice Couch of Doom and snuggly blankets.
So speak up! Would you like to Be A Santa, Jolly Santa, Happy Santa? Would you be willing to join in even just for one or two stops on the way?
