Snow?
I do not believe in Snow... in late MARCH!! Oh, I'd be fine with some flurries or something, but accumulation? Like 6-8 inches of accumulation? On the fresh green grass?

And of course, it had to come down in golfball-sized snowballs while we were trying to move the Roommate in. Gah.

On the other hand, I know from experience that moving in the snow=teh suck, but moving in the snow followed by awesome hot chocolate=WINNING!

I even managed to make my S.O. the Cafe Borgia he's been pining for lo these many weeks. (I have Dark Chocolate/Orange Hot Cocoa mix!)

But SNOW? SNOW!?

Bleah. We're covered in Lake Effect yet there is no damned LAKE!

Nope, they won't die. My Moms came up thru the snow last year. Spring flowers are pretty tough!

And I'd like to point out that you have both a lake and a northern latitude.

St. Louis winter goes like this:
November: Cold, everything dies.
December: Colder, snow.
January: Colder than a witch's tit in a brass brassiere, and ice storms.
February: Some snow, early on. Daffodils by the end of the month.
March: Rain, cold rain, and occasionally weather you can become sunburned in.
April: The rest of the flowers catch up.

Now, we've had snow in March and April before, but rarely. Usually just flurries who got lost.
