kukla_tko | Getting stuff done!

So the big push to make the house hospitable for Feb. 12th has helped, but now I'm still fighting entropy. (Get one table cleared, the other is full...)

On the other hand, this is also giving me an opportunity to rearrange other areas and unpack some more boxes (yes, still.) I had random boxes of randomness hanging out on the shelves opposite the bathroom, where books will *eventually* go. I put away the randomness and freed up some shelf space! Seriously, like a whole bookshelf's worth!

I also have begun the gargantuan task of dealing with the "hallway" or former butler's pantry, current CLOSET for the Kukla.

I think if I can get all the costumes upstairs, I can put my clothes in my room. If I can do THAT, I can free up a LOT of space in that hallway room, space that could be occupied with boxes of craft/sewing/other stuff from the imminent roommate...

So tonight is moving stuff upstairs night, and maybe I can even get the gaming crowd to give a hand with that...

And while I'm up there, I will see if I can find a new footprint for some incoming bookshelves!

Once Imminent Roommate is moved in, the next project is the kitchen; She and I are going to re-arrange the whole thing and re-think how the storage will be. At this point the "new kitchen" is far enough back in the queue that I want a functional kitchen ASAP! This means thinking about where stuff is going to go, putting it there, and actually putting the shelves in the storage spaces so we can put stuff "away".
I figure that if she's going to live here, too, she can help me organize the kitchen. Then she won't be confused as to where things are or where they go!

I even have a couple of other offers for additional Imminent Roommates, but I think I'll let the first one settle before we try to figure that out. :D

Plus, of course, the Fate and the Phoenix are going to be slumming with us this summer! (Mwa ha ha! Perhaps I can keep you guys down here longer this year....)

I've been blessed with random appearances of a certain Wisteria Faerie periodically, and that's been completely awesome. This is the hibernation time of year, and it's nice to have someone to drag my attention away from the computer at night. We have many projects we're aspiring to play with, so I'm looking forward to some sewing soon!

Also, today I did leave the house (didn't WANT to, bleah) so that I could finally mail the doll I sold on The Doll Page. (Strongly recommend the site.) I'm going to list a bunch of doll stuff there once I can get nice pictures of everything.

So yeah! Cleared the table for the game, fixed the Stereo, cleared a bunch of stuff from both hallways, mailed a sold item, made lunch, and scheduled some stuff for later.
