Informal Poll: Who's snowed in?

My store was closed yesterday AND today! Of course that means that I have lost a half a week's pay... grumble.

So, who's home? Who had a "snow day" yesterday, and who has one again today?

Who is stuck going to work in this mess?

My S.O. went ahead with our digging shovel and cleared the driveway and the walk to the driveway, despite the fact that he has no boots. Since he was working so hard, I decided to haul my own lazy butt out of bed and make some breakfast! The last of the eggs, a package of pepper bacon, orange juice, coffee, and hot tea. Oh, and multi-grain bread toast. Mmm. Breakfast...

Don't worry about our food stores. We're doing fine. I have plenty of meat, cheese, starches, and even vegetables. I don't have a lot of "goes together" foods, but who the hell cares? Lunch is likely to be mac n cheese. Mmm. Plus celery and carrots. I even think I have some nut butter to go on the celery. :D

The neighbor guy asked if he could shovel our driveway and walk, but my S.O. refused because we have no cash. (I'm pretty sure he'd have done it for a promise of cash once we were mobile.) Also, I think my S.O. was having a burst of "I Do It Myself!"

So, what are all of you doing?

I'm being grateful that I have heat, food, electricity, gas and water. I'm going to enjoy several of those things simultaneously while I go have a shower.

Worked from home yesterday, still working from home today. I'm actually looking forward to going back to the office tomorrow, and my dual-monitor setup (where I can work on one and document it on the other). I haven't gone further than my mailbox downstairs since Monday night. Holding out just fine on food, power, and net. Doesn't look like we got that much snow in my corner of Maryland Heights, though I'm not sure how thick the ice is under the snow.

I brought home work Monday night, so I could work from home yesterday. But today, I tried to go to work, since it is a new job I just started last Wednesday. Well, my husband was wonderful and cleaned off my car. I attempted to drive to work, but couldn't actually make it out of my Apt. complex. From what I could see of St. Charles Rock Road, even if I could have made it, I wouldn't have made it even close to work. I will try again in a couple of hours. Hope the plow comes through....

my work was the opposite... instead of shut down closed they were shut down everyone staying... lucky I got out of there last night. I am home now with cats bed and Buffy.

School's closed today. We stayed in all day yesterday because we didn't want to touch it.

Scraped cars off today and ran some errands, have dinner tonight w/Josh's dad.

When we scraped off the cars I got the realization that we got 1" of snow on top, and 5" of ice pellets otherwise (pics, so it happened!). It wasn't so much scraping the car off as scrubbing it. Arms = tired.
