What's for ARCHON?

More Archon crap, since I didn't want to clutter up the comments on the last one.

Announcement #1:
I am looking for "meat puppets" for a nifty Masquerade entry in the masquerade at Archon this year. I am particularly interested in people who can be there Thursday night or early in the day on Friday, since it would be nice to get our tech rehearsal out of the way early.

The entry will be not-for-competition, so no worries about awards in the master category messing up your novice or journeyman level.

What I have in mind is pretty simple, but I will need some bodies to pad it out.

Is ANYONE interested? This is NOT the change of seasons or Into The Woods entries that I was considering. This is a whole new round of craziness.

Announcement #2:
ATTENTION ALL PIRATES!!!!
The St. Louis Ubiquitous Tailoring Society (S.L.U.T.S.) will be hosting their (now annual) Pirate Party on Thursday night at Archon. If ye be a PIRATE, get thy swashbucklin' arse out there to enjoy the fun! IF you're bringing a pirate costume, then for the love of plunder *please* bring it out on Thursday night. Otherwise people will think that you missed the boat!

Announcement #3:
Somewhere, somehow, during Archon weekend I will be celebrating my birthday (belated.)
I am turning 30 for the only time, and so THIS year *I* get to be the TIP JAR. (stl_kitten, I am looking at YOU. Last year you got to turn 21. This year is MY milestone year. You can have it back next year.)
Rumor has it that there will be a party thrown in function space on Friday night. There is no theme, but we will be extremely friendly to the Infernal American Anti Defamation League. (Go see bradhicks's journal about that.)

Announcement #4:
Friday night, from about 10pm to 11pm, there will be a Hogwarts Open House (Harry Potter Experience). All are welcome, adults, children, adults who act like children, children who act like adults, etc. Also, on Saturday night, a dear friend is hosting a "Hogwarts Faculty and Alumni Mixer" in his room at the Holiday Inn. I will be providing alcoholic Pumpkin Juice, and possibly a non-boozy alternative, if I can get the recipe right. (It will be a bit like Chi.)

Announcement #5:
In case you can't tell, I will be very busy Archon weekend. If I seem to blow you off because there's somewhere I HAVE to be... I am not blowing you off, there's somewhere I HAVE TO BE. Get your hug and get out of my way!

Not going to be much going on with the IA!ADL this event, I'm afraid, though. I didn't get function space and I only have a couple of volunteers. Still, anybody who's wearing horns to Archon and can catch up with me, I'll have stickers to give away, and I may have literature for the freebie table. Maybe we can do a room party at one of the spring conventions, and/or next year at Archon.

As for spankings...

There will be NO spankings for ME, thank you very much. To strike me is to invite disaster. Dogs and cats, living together... mass hysteria.

However, I may appoint a whipping boy to accept them on my behalf. Actually, there's a "whipping girl" who usually takes mine for me.
