This is Halloween... This is Halloween...
Aug. 15th, 2004 04:46 pmSo, I start my Assistant Manager position on Tuesday. Monday I am training my temporary replacement at the Condo.
For Spirit Halloween Store updates and Halloween related stuff, I am using a new icon. I need to credit it: This Jack-O-Lantern was carved by Chris Bauer. He named it "Spike."
I love this Jack-O-Lantern SO VERY MUCH. Most people are really bothered by it. I think it's brilliant and wish I had thought of it first.
I am working on some cross-promotional concepts for Spirit. This should be fun (and busy.)
Now. If I can only get my sleep schedule turned back around.
I went to
thegeoffrey's party last night, and stayed up until almost 6am. At least this time my SO didn't come looking for me all worried that I had broken down somewhere.
To my faint astonishment, I had a really great time. I am certain that this is due in part to
stl_kitten's influence and invitation list. It really does help parties to have younger people providing movement and energy. What's that song from "A Most Happy Fella"?
Young people gotta dance, dance, dance.
Old people gotta sit... and... watch.
Ok, that's not precisely true, but I have found that parties where the youngest person in the room is over 30 tend to be more sedate affairs. With younger people present, even the people at the party who are older than the median age tend to perk up and party harder.
Now, don't go getting mad at me. Those of you who are older than I are delightful and a lot more fun than most of the younger people. It is simply that we all need a subtle kick in the butt to get going sometimes.
Hee hee hee!
Oh. And I was fabulous. Even the young man of EXTREME grace was hitting on me when I put on my "Marlena Dietrich" outfit.
It was a pair of "zoot suit" pinstripe pants (a little oversized) and a men's dark colored suit jacket (a little small through the chest), a black bra, and a men's necktie. Hair piled on top of my head. Shoes were Hot Topic black men's style platform shoes with white stars set into them.
BWA ha ha.
It has been entirely too long since I felt that fabulous.
Now, on to the Halloween store. Behold my glory...
