So I am totally re-vamping the Crystal Spiral thing. I will probably still want to have a "playtest" group to critique it.

Here's the new proposal:
We will determine a set number of these that we will do, say 15 or so. The tickets will cost $30, which is only a few bucks more than my basic tarot readings.

The Fairy Guide (all tarted up, er, I mean In Costume) anoints the eyes, ears, nose, mouth and hands of the querent with 'fairy ointment', then takes each ticketholder 'underhill.' S/he takes the person through a "tunnel" of darkness, into the Faerie Queen's bower.

The Bower:
Cushions on the floor, a low table set up, the Faerie Queen sitting amongst the cushions with a scarf and a deck of cards on the table, along with a scrying bowl, a crystal ball, and assorted crystals and whatnot. Surrounding her are many hanging silks and tassels, candelabra, sconces and such filled with dozens of candles. (Somewhere between a dinner-for-two and a Sting Video for number of candles.)
The Faerie Queen smiles and gestures to the seat across from her. She looks into your eyes and your heart. She takes your hand, and reads what fate has written there. She offers you the deck, to cut. She lays out your cards and speaks softly of what is in store for you, and how you can meet your fate, or change it. If the session goes well, the person leaves feeling wonderful. If it becomes very intense, the Faerie queen will offer comfort and/or hugs. (Because it can get very intense, depending upon what happens during the read. Then, she rises to lead you out. You return to the real world, but with a new perspective.

This variation is shorter, less complicated and only requires one or two additional people to manage it. Also, by making it a limited engagement, we can control the number of people and at the same time make it attractive. (I refer you to the episode of South Park where Cartman buys an amusement park, just so he can have it all to himself.) I don't think it is unreasonable to expect to get 15 people to participate in this experience for $30.

Thoughts?
