Final Itinerary

Sunday Morning, I plan to leave around 10am or so. I will drive down through Farmington and take 67 to Little Rock. According to the mapping software, that route is marginally faster. However, with the wet weather, I have some concerns about detours and the like.
This way I can "map" the route myself and make note of any delays, construction, detours, or other mischief.
In Little Rock, I will probably look for a hotel room to crash for the night. That one by the Electric Cowboy was pretty nice the last time I went through.
On Monday morning, I will drive from Little Rock to Oakdale and set up "camp" at the Oakwood Motel. It will be my final visit. I'm not sad.
I will then probably drive over to the neighboring town for some decent food, and come back to the Motel to go to bed early.
Tuesday, I pick him up at 8am. I have until 8pm to get him to Farmington.
Let's do some math on that.
According to Google Maps, the journey will take 9 hours and 45 minutes. This was not my experience with the route. Yo, Little Rockers: How long does it take to get to St. Louis from Little Rock? Because Google Maps says it takes 5 and a half hours.
According to MapQuest, the identical route will take 10 hours and 6 minutes.
Per YahooMaps, the trip will take 11 hours and 39 minutes. I think this is more accurate.
Same route, each time.
I'm probably going to print out the data and bring it with me to point out that 12 hours might not work so well, particularly if there are delays due to the weather. I'm hoping to get a 14 hour window, if for no other reason that I'd like to actually stop and eat on the way, rather than actually DRIVING for the entire trip.
I'm not going to try to get to New Orleans first. I'd rather drive the route in reverse and time it, and look for any delays.
Plus it gives me another day "off" before I have to deal with a grueling road trip.
