Day Drag? Drag Night? Drag it out?
Sep. 8th, 2014 07:50 pmI am currently considering making my birthday extravaganza a daytime affair. I'm seeking feedback, so if you're one of the four people who still read my LJ, please tell your friends to come look and comment.
So here are my two thoughts:
1. DRAG IS FOR EVENING!
Let's have a party at my house on my actual birthday, September 23rd starting around 5ish and going until about midnight. I'll serve food and you can bring pot luck to share, too. It's a Tuesday night, but we don't have to go all night. I do work on Wednesday, so I'll be kicking everyone out around midnight. Mustaches and Makeup for everyone!
This would also be a child-free version. Let's keep it to the grown ups!
2. DRAG KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES!
Let's have a party at my house on the Saturday after my birthday, September 27th starting around 1pm. I'll have lunchy things to eat and you can bring pot-luck snacks and stuff.
We'll party until dinner time and then go forth to scare the mundanes.
I'd make this version kid-friendly. Kiddos are adorable in mustaches.
My thoughts on this include the fact that there's a special performance of Corpus Christi happening that weekend, and a friend has a ticket for me. I'd REALLY like to go and I will be unavailable on Friday.
My third idea is:
3. DRAG IT OUT!!!
I *could* make the Dead Dog Party my birthday party at Archon. Or if someone has a room in the Doubletree, we could throw a more traditional party on one of the nights. I probably just barely have enough time to negotiate that with the powers that be, so I'd need to know almost immediately if that would be ok.
