Our hotel has a little internet station so I can hop online and check mail and make short posts to LJ.

Here's a very brief recap of our adventure so far:

*Went to Talladega, which was the usual kind of fun. The Boy and The Girl got to see thesigother.

*Stayed an extra night in AL because we hadn't gotten our confirmation letter yet for Orlando.

*Called Monday morning and finally managed to get my confirmation letter via email. The Boy has his laptop so we called it good.

*Drove from Talladega to Orlando. That is a LONG trip.

*Snafu after snafu regarding our Online Internet Scam (I mean, Ebay purchase of a vacation package.) The short form is that there were communication errors (Several) between the people who sold me the package and the people who were trying to sell me a condo.

*Got all of that straightened out. The Girl was suitably impressed with my "negotiation skills". Do NOT piss off Momma Kitty. She is powerful and can harm you. :D

*Went to Universal yesterday and spent the whole day there. OMG YOU GUYS! UNIVERSAL IS AWESOME!! We went to Islands of Adventure. Not sure why we'd want to go anywhere else... extended review later. Squeeing now. Squee!!

*Were planning to see The Mouse today. Slept in instead, then found lunch and decided to do something else instead of Disney.

*GATORLAND!!! GATORLAND!!! GATORLAND!!!!!! We fed the gators. We touched them. We watched them DO TRICKS FOR THE CROWD. Saw some of the biggest alligators and crocodiles EVER. Cannot recommend it enough. Really.

*Dinner at the hotel. Absolutely NOT worth the $40 a piece that it cost, and we were NOT told how much before we sat down. There are NO prices posted, and most hotel seafood buffets around here are around $23-30. Lobster, crab legs, oysters, etc. However, other than the oysters, the rest of this was flown in frozen from Canada. I asked. Dude, we're in a COASTAL state and you had your seafood flown in from CANDADA? Fail. Seriously. I've had better at The Boat.

Now I'm going to probably get in the hot tub, hopefully with a tasty beverage, pack up our stuff, and get to bed at a reasonable hour.

Tomorrow:
See my 90 minute presentation. Nod politely. Eat breakfast. Come back and pick up the kids and head out of town. We're heading back to Talladega to see thesigother, then coming home. I expect that we will be home either late Saturday night or sometime on Sunday.
