Living Tarot
May. 14th, 2008 11:24 pmI just thought I'd cross post this a bit in case any of you would like a very valuable free sewing lesson this weekend.
I'm planning to make some fabric bags with the images from the major archana of the Tarot on them, for the Living Tarot.
This Saturday from 1-5pm at the Jackman's Fabrics on Lindbergh, we're going to be sewing these bags together. I'm spending the evenings this week printing the images of the cards onto fabric, and we're going to cut and sew little rectangular bags with long shoulder straps on them.
Anyone who participates will learn how to make a simple bag, and we'll get to use the store's classroom machines (which are completely drool-worthy, let me tell you!)
Any that are not finished may either be taken home and worked on separately, or I will finish them myself at Family Sewing Day on Sunday in Jefferson City.
Please let me know if you can come and sew with us!
We're also going to go to Lion's Choice (on Olive) for lunch at noon, and then troupe over to the store to sew at 1pm. Anyone can meet up with us at either place.
