Today my Manager came in and checked up on everything, then pulled me aside.

Seems that I earned one of the $35 gift cards that are part of the incentive program. He *complimented me* for what has to be the first time all season. He told me that he was "Impressed with" my "turnaround" from before, and that he didn't know if it was the fear of losing my job or what..."

At which point I had to correct him. I was never in fear of losing my job. Hell, I had to put aside all my other jobs for this one. I had no worries about getting employment, I had no worries about the blot on my record for having been fired for being "Bitchy." Really.

No no. I was merely... horrified. In fact, as I put it, I was horrified that my distractions were causing me to behave in a way that was alienating my team.
Though, what I thought to myself was that I was horrified that Spirit WOULD fire someone like me for being bitchy. Horrified that he WOULD go to the trouble of writing me up for random bullshit. Horrified that I was being singled out for reasons unknown since the rest of the staff was just as cranky and rude.

But I digress.

No, what I really wanted to do was to show my idiot manager that I was hired for a REASON, and that I was VALUABLE to the company, and that I REALLY DID KNOW MY SHIT.

And I have.

And I apparently blew him away.

See. Told you. Quit listening to the whiny beeches, eh?

I still won't work for this guy again. In fact, if it weren't seasonal, I would have quit this job already. He's a piss-poor manager.

At any rate, I was going to take advantage of the "50% off" deal for employees, but now that we are putting everything 50% off for everyone starting Sunday, and our discount goes on top of THAT, I guess I won't unless there's something that one of my faithful readers wants for the weekend.

Hellloooo?

I am going to start a Meme. It's a "share a story" deal.

Kukla's Halloween Meme:
Tell me a story about your experience(s) with a "Ouija" or talking spirit board.
Stories must be first-hand, unless you yourself have never touched a board, then you may tell a second-hand story. No third-hand, "my sister's cousin told me about what happened to her friend's dad..." stories, please.

If you participate, please note in the comments field for this entry.

And tomorrow, I will relate my own stories. At least one of them.

Booo wa ha ha!
