More collector craziness...

The part I didn't mention last night is that when Allura and I went to Target, we found some more collector crack.

Mattel hates me. When I was a child, all I wanted was a fairy Barbie and (even more importantly) a MERMAID Barbie. Kenner put out a bath toy set called "Sea Wees" which I loved dearly, but only had two sets. (Technically three; I broke my first one.)

Now, of course, there's mermaid and fairy dolls everywhere you look. Mattel has put out a new series of dolls called "Fairytopia". They're "pink box" dolls which means that they are packaged, designed, and priced for little girls to play with.

So far, I only have one Sparkle Fairy (the blue one), and two sets of Petal Pixies: One fairy set (pink and purple) and one mermaid set(orange and green). Last night we discovered that there are more Pixies and now they are putting out fashion sets, with FOUR outfits per package: Two for the Barbie sized fairies and two for the smaller "Pixies."

I indulged. I got two sets. They were remarkably cheap, and I haven't really indulged myself lately.

Allura got a doll as well. We were so bad... We waited until the Kids went home to get out our new toys and play with them.

Sigh.

I love this Fairytopia crap. I can hardly stand it.

Domestic bliss

By the way, allura629 is my personal hero this weekend. She cleaned my bathroom. She totally rocks, everyone go forth and worship her. Bring her tidbits of food, offer her praises and gifts. I know I do.

Last night we did Caramel Apples with a variety of stuff to roll them in. Mmmmmm.
I baked today. Mmm-mmm. Spider cookies (peanut butter cookies flattened with a spider shaped cookie stamper.) We added chocolate chips to the spiders' bodies. Also, we were out of vanilla extract, so I added almond flavoring instead. Tasty!
I also made up a batch of Nighty-Nites, but added the chocolate chips after they were dolloped onto the cookie trays, to form little ghostly faces. Booooo!

They're cute as hell. And tasty to boot.

It was nice to be a domestic demi-goddess this weekend. I am off to dye my hair in my newly cleaned bathroom!
