Extra! Extra! Read all about it!
Mint Cookie Cinema is now open!
For tomorrow night, (Friday, February 18th) I thought I would throw it out there to have a movie night at the Mint Cookie? Not sure what we will show, but we do have the projector figured out, and the giant screen installed. The table is still to the side, so we can put seating in the dining room and eat snacks, drink booze/non-booze tasty drinks, and watch something fun!
If we do this, who wants to come over? I'm aiming for say... 8-till-late?
And if a certain
harmfulguy is still in town, perhaps we can let him choose the film, and we can serve (fresh) cake?
Heck, I've got a great popcorn air-popper, so we could probably even serve popcorn. I serve mine with real butter and sea salt, both of which are of course optional.
Films that I personally would love to show include:
Dracula; the Coppola version (my DVD is still in its wrapper!)
Pitch Black (No, not the OTHER chronicles of Riddick.)
The Last Unicorn
Young Frankenstein
The Brotherhood of the Wolf (If you haven't seen it, you really should.)
Real Genius (Did you know that there are friends of mine who HAVEN'T seen this one? For real?)
Top Secret (Val Kilmer sings and dances, plus it's screamingly funny.)
The Long Kiss Goodnight (Samuel L. MF. Jackson does NOT play that guy from Pulp Fiction. He plays a complete loser who saw Pulp Fiction and thought "That guy" was pretty cool...)
Hot Fuzz (it's not the sequel to Shawn of the Dead... quite...)
The Lost Boys (Classic!)
Or...
Rustler's Rhapsody! (BWA HA HA HA HA! At least as funny as Blazing Saddles, which is also a possibility.)
So.
Who wants to check out our spanky-new home theater system? Who wants to vote on what we watch?
