Up!
Yay! Our store is beautiful, and ready to open tomorrow if we wanted to.
Down.
We don't open until next Friday.
UP!
I got to set the Make-up section and all the interesting (read: Challenging) displays.
UP!
My District Manager wants to send me to do the same at the other four stores.
Down.
That means driving all over the metro area.
UP!
But they will pay my mileage!
Down.
I am really tired.
Up!
I can look across the store and see all that I accomplished.
Up!
The store doesn't open until 10am.
Down.
It closes at 9pm, and I will probably end up closing.

At any rate, it's been a busy and fun week. I worked like a dog but got paid like a demigod. I don't mind, really. I wouldn't be able to stand doing retail year round, but I like it for Halloween. (Well... wait until Mid October. See if I still love it then...)

OOh being paid like a demigod is pretty cool especially if it includes bonus hours or overtime. I love it when work gets desperate and offers to pay anyone who's willing to live in hell for a while double time or more. (It's not always hell but when you have 5 squads coming in at once with a full house it can sure feel like it.)
