For those of you who are wondering why you should go see a film based upon "It's a Small World After All", I want you to know that this is not a throw-away gag.

Ok, "It's A Small World" *is* the throw-away gag. There. Feel better?

And as much as Tomorrowland is about the future, this film is really about the present. About who we are, and what we can accomplish, and more importantly what we fail to accomplish by not attempting something.

Choosing to do nothing is still a choice.

Consider your choices carefully.


Yes, this is a thinky-think movie. You will be required to participate in this entertainment. You will have to draw important connections yourself and work out some of the details in your own mind.

And while you are doing so, you will also have some genuine entertainment to enjoy.

Most importantly, though: Don't wait for video. Don't wait for the dollar show. Go see this movie, with your family. See it more than once.

Show Hollywood that movies like this are the kind of thing we want to consume.

Movie list

I want to see some movies this summer. Here are the ones I want to see:

Furious 7: I finally decided that I want to see this. I know that harmfulguy will come and see it with me. Anyone else want in on the fun? I'm willing to wait until it hits the dollar show, but I'm also game for a wednesday night viewing sometime. (Not this Wednesday, though.)
God damn, I love a car-chase movie. Sigh.

Avengers: Age of Ultron: Yeah yeah yeah. Seen it twice already. Planning to see it again. Let me know if you're up for it!

Mad Max: I was on the fence about this one. I've seen the original films, but I wasn't a huge fan or anything. I'm hearing amazing things about this new take on Mad Max, so I'm game to check it out.

Tomorrowland: I've seen it once, and I'll cheerfully see it again.

Jurassic World: DINOSAURS!!! RAWR! might have to see it at the dollar show.

Of course if one of you wants to see something else, I can usually be persuaded to join in on the fun. Tuesday and Wednesday nights are the good times to catch me.
