I was having a roller-coaster weekend. My previous post should alert you to what kind of mood I was in, but I had really great weekend plans and was determined to have a good time.

I was successful. Naughti Gras was very fun, though as usual I have my own nits to pick about the event coordination. The market was tucked way in the back behind the big bar, and that meant that most of the crowd never got back there to see the merch.
However, the performers were all excellent, the art was lovely, the live band was seriously ROCKIN', and the crowd was friendly and fun. It was a little bit crowded for my tastes, but toward the end of the night it was just about perfect.

Sunday everything went to hell in a handbasket. I'm not going to get into the drama, I'm only going to say that I was not at my best yesterday. I woke up with a spoon deficit.

Fortunately, once I got home there was some good news, most of which being that the roommate managed to move her stuff out of the living room, and off of the porch (with a few exceptions) and I was able to remove the rest of MY junk from the porch as well. I'm thinking of putting a table and chairs out there, but I don't want to put the wooden table outside. If someone has a weatherproof patio table that they do not want, I'm willing to give it a nice home. (Otherwise, I'm still shedding furniture.)

Also, the roommate assured me that the place she's moving to should be ready by next weekend. Hopefully I can have my original Thing One move back in then. She had additional good news but that's not the business of my blog.

Also, despite having a full house last night, I was able to unpack my head and get my panties out of a bunch. The roommates gave me space when I needed it and I was grateful and made tilapia (with pesto) and jasmine rice for most of them. (one had already eaten.)

I am still untangling my grouchiness, but hopefully I'll be back to normal by the end of the week, too. I get paid on Tuesday, that ought to help.

I just need to remember that when crisis hits, I have less of myself to go around. And also that my reactions to things are mine alone, and I'm the only one with the reins.

Oooo Cryptic Kukla! Boogie boogie!

In random other news, I bought a battery for The Kracken today. (The green truck.) The last time I had the oil changed, they suggested that I might want to replace it, as it apparently was on its last legs or something. As I hadn't had any electrical problems, I shrugged it off. Today the odometer was flickering weirdly, and the last time that happened, it was the early warning system for the battery going belly up.
So I took my time and dug up an online coupon for Advanced Auto Parts. (Seriously, it was $40 off a purchase over $100.) So I bought the battery online and arranged in-store pick up. The nice gentleman working at the store also cheerfully installed it for me. Whoo hoo!
So I paid closer to $70 for a battery that was well over a hundred and it has a two year warranty and good reviews online.

Here's hoping that's the only thing the Kraken desires at the moment. I still can't afford to get the stupid door fixed. Well, either door fixed; Mom broke the latch to the 3rd door some while ago, and slightly more recently made the spring jump out of the door on the driver's side.

Poor Kracken.

So yeah. Mercury, take your retrograde and go home. You're drunk.
