Going to the faire...
Jun. 8th, 2013 12:41 amI'm going to the Ren Faire tomorrow.
Our current plan is to try to get there early, shortly after the gate opens.
I know that my draconian friends will be following this same idea, and I am meeting up with my new friend from work for this romp.
Also; The Boy is in town and joining us, too.
I have no specific plans for the evening but am open to suggestions. My current thought is to go to the House Of Party and maybe watch some Dr. Who and get in the hot tub.
Secondary note: The House Of Party is having a garage sale on Saturday, also. It will be a geek's paradise and it starts at 9am.
My phone is finally charged again, so you can call me if you want in on any of this.
The big question now is what to wear...
In case you feel like chiming in, here are my options:
"It's not nice to fool with Mother Nature" or the gorgeous dress I wore for the wedding of the Master Costumers Extraordinare. It's comfortable, cotton, and flattering. I'd wear the faerie wings with it and a nifty crown.
Cap'n Clambeard, or my wenchy pirate goodness. Leather corset (one or the other) black chemise with crochet lace at the top, pirate pants, and boots with swagger.
Merida, or the fabulous dress I wore in a different wedding. It's so convenient when Disney peeks at my wardrobe before designing a heroine with long red curly hair. The disadvantage is that it is slightly heavier and darker in color.
Gypsy Traveller: It's not like this one is ever the same way twice. Patchwork, layers of skirts, jingle belts, and an assortment of neck jewelry that would make Mr. T pity the fool.
The New Finery: A friend gave me a lovely outfit consisting of a deep purple chemise and a short bodice in a complimentary green. Once again, this would turn Fey easily and quickly.
