I'm really excited about next week, though I am worried about how I'm going to pay for it.
On the one hand, I'm saving the hotel bills and eating-out budget. On the other hand, I'm driving much farther away. Plus, the chickens have come home to roost in the form of the utility companies wanting their damn money right now.
So I'll put it out there: I haven't seen him since last summer with the kids. It's been almost 10 months since I've seen him. I have less budget and more expenses if I want to see him.
If you feel like contributing, please do so. You can hand me some money (and I never object to that!) or you can hit my donation button. A button like this one:
I know that you don't have a lot of money either, but every little bit helps. Feel free to leave me a note saying, 'This is for the trip' or 'Pay bills with this donation' or 'I don't care if you blow it on dolls or booze, but I hope it helps pay for the trip.'
Note: I will NOT blow the money on dolls or booze. This donation drive is purely for the visit to see my Significant Other, and incidentally, my favorite Pretty Pretty Princess. She does not have spare moneys either, as she is currently the breadwinner in her household. So you can consider the donation a two-for-one deal supporting my journey and her GLAM-per (I mean Camper). The plan, as it stands, is to drive to Little Rock, hook up with the Glamper Krewe, and Glamper down to Louisiana. I will visit the S.O. while she and her Unicorn do the camping thing during the day. At night there will be running through the woods terrorizing small villages... ok. Most likely during the night there will be telling stories, laughing a lot, and enjoying each other's company. I get two days of visits with the S.O., then we head back to Little Rock and I get to drive home. I'm back at work on Tuesday.
