Christmas in July

I can't believe I missed this the first time around. I'm a fan of "Justsomerandomguy" and his youtube videos starring comic book character action figures. He's the one who did the whole "Hi, I'm a Marvel" "And I'm a DC" series.

Post Challenge

Since so many of you have been quiet lately, I thought I'd throw it out there:

I challenge everyone who reads this journal to write something for the 4th of July.

I'll give you a topic, too.
The fourth of July is when the United States celebrates its independence. Tell me a story about a particular Independence Day in your past, or one you would like to see in your future. Did you ever eat the bad potato salad? Maybe you got to travel somewhere new? Is there a particular faire or festival or picnic that you remember? Tell me the story of setting off firecrackers (or fireworks) for the first time, or perhaps a story where you were injured by fireworks (Directly or Indirectly.)

I'll tell a story, too. I'll post it on the 4th for everyone to read.

I know that other social networking sites are easier to use and more fun to keep up on, but what I love best about LJ is the opportunity to share stories and practice writing. So, tell a story!
