Sushi and boffers? Nerf Battle?
Apr. 11th, 2012 10:40 amAs some of you may already know, The Boy turns 18 on an auspicious day. He will be coming up for a visit on Saturday, April 14 for his birthday.
I would like for him to have some fun for his birthday, so I'm proposing the following:
Late Lunch Sushi: I should be able to get out of work by 1:30 or so. I'm proposing a visit to a local Sushi place around 2pm. I will need to research to see what will be open at that time.
Afternoon Battle: I'm thinking either Nerf or boffer (er, or both?) in the backyard of the Mint Cookie after lunch. Costumes always encouraged, but in this case not required. In case of yucky weather, I propose board games inside the Mint Cookie. We have Order of the Stick and Monsters Take Over, to name a few. We also have Apples to Apples and many other awesome games.
Dinner and a Show: My original plan was to have an elegant dinner in costume followed by a viewing of the movie Titanic to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. We only get *one* centennial, after all. We may skip the elegant dinner and go straight for just seeing the film in costume. I will confer with the Birthday Boy on this.
Who wants to join in on the fun? Please let me know if you are interested in any of the above.
