Japanese Festival this weekend at the Botanical Garden!
I plan to go on Saturday, with an intention to arrive at around 10am. I will probably stick around until it is time to go to the party at the House of Party, or until Zombie Knee informs me that I'm done. (Or if my back fails to cooperate.) Would anyone like to meet up at the Mint Cookie and caravan/carpool out to the festival? Please let me know. I'll want to gather people here by 9am, and I'll make breakfast. :D
I do plan to bring one or maybe two dolls with me. I do plan to wear a kimono (Er, Yakata, actually, but who's counting?) I do not plan to bring a whole lot of money to spend, just some cash for food. I'm probably bringing one or both of the children.
And of course, I plan to bring a camera. I have the great Canon, so I might as well exploit it. :D
All of these plans might be scrapped if my back fails to cooperate, of course.
Sunday and Monday I have to work at the store, as Monday is a sale day.
So, what does the rest of the month look like? Behold the Gauntlet!
Labor Day Weekend: Japanese Festival, party, and Sale Day.
September 10: Don't Panic! It's a Birthday Party!
September 11: Panic, it's a freaking EVENT at work. (LOOOONG day.)
September 16-18: Wild Magick Festival at Lothlorien
September 23rd: BIRTHDAY! Also, the classes I was going to teach that day have been cancelled or postponed. I will be in training all day. That evening is family dinner at my mom's house.
September 24th: Steampunk Excursion to the Pirate Festival (as it's my only day to really go.) Also Concert later that evening.
September 25th: Working my usual shift. Probably gaming thereafter, as I see that the previous three weeks have potential conflicts.
September 30-October 2nd: Archon, including the Mad Scientists' Tea Party (Eastern Steampunk Theme), an awesome masquerade entry, and the Rococo Coco party. (Stick around on Sunday, folks! It is going to be MAGNIFICENT!)
And then... October is mostly clear. Well, I say "mostly"...
Second weekend of October: Working both days, teaching on Saturday.
Third weekend in October: Doll Stuff, maybe? Parties? Cannibal Feast? This would be the right weekend to put it if you want my attendance.
Last weekend of October: Possibly working at the Illinois store for their big event. Possibly working at OUR store for the big event. Haven't been informed yet.
HALLOWEEN: Monster High theme at my place for Trick or Treat! Come as your favorite Classic Monster, or dress as a character from Mattel's Monster High line. I'm calling it, "The Monster High Alumni Ball". I plan to wear my amazing and awesome headdress from Bast's Garden so I can be Medusa, Duce Gorgon's Mom. Heh. My roommate is planning to be a member of the MH Gang and she's going to be so cute I can hardly stand it.
I'll take a day or two after Halloween to recover and pack. I'm going to Alabama that week on Thursday so I can visit with You Know Who on Friday and Saturday (and maybe even Sunday morning), then I'm coming home Sunday night. I plan to camp, which is going to be a blast!
And after that, I can't really plan anything.
