I'm standing with Planned Parenthood

Looks like the GOP is trying (and succeeding) to kill Planned Parenthood.

So I went to imstandingwithplannedparenthood.org and shared my story, signed the open letter, and now I'm blogging it, too. Here's the text from the site:

I wanted to let you know that I stand with Planned Parenthood and against those who are spreading lies about them. The truth is that Planned Parenthood is the nation's leading sexual and reproductive health care provider and advocate. They give millions of women the means to control their own reproductive health, from sex education to birth control. That is the truth and why I'm standing with Planned Parenthood today. Go. Do. Stand up. Be counted.
Planned Parenthood gave me my first pelvic exam, and it was a warm and friendly encounter, not a terrifying experience with cold doctors and cold metal tools.
Planned Parenthood provided me with care after I lost my insurance and my regular crotch doc retired.
Do NOT let them kill Planned Parenthood.
