Ah, that was lovely.

I haven't been canoeing in a very long time. However, my muscle memory remains.

On the other hand, my muscles remember my being much stronger. Time to work on the upper body strength...
More kisses from Apollo. Grunt. Tell him to leave the fair-skinned redheaded GOTH chick alone!!

I liked the Kayak. I'm not really used to it yet, and it let a Tree eat me (Ugh. Graceless unexpected water exit.) I managed to keep my glasses, my hat, my shoes, my paddle *and* my kayak, though, so I think I did pretty well.

In other news, I came home to discover a fish stuck to the intake of the filter. Bleah.
It was the largest of the new five, so that was odd. (Largest and most gold-colored, actually.) The two tiny gold ones are fine and the two silvery-colored ones are also fine. Go figure. I wonder if they were trying a Nemo-esque escape?

Perhaps I'll regale you all with my camping-with-papa adventures. For now, I am the sleepy version.

For sale

I have an opportunity to upgrade to a new serger. As such, I'm willing to sell my old one.

My current overlock machine is in excellent condition, makes a gorgeous rolled hem, and will be professionally serviced by a Bernina Dealer immediately prior to sale.

It's a Bernette (for Bernina) Funlock 004D. I want $200 for it, because I paid $300 and I need to get something back out of it. (If no one wants it, I'll just keep it as a back-up machine.)
Short of a new Babylock (with the jet-air threading and the automatic thread delivery system instead of tension dials) this is one of the nicest sergers to own. I know, because I look at a LOT of them during my job. (People bring them in for service, or just for help threading the darned things. Plus we take trade-ins, and I get to work with those and teach them to customers.)

If the person who buys the machine lives in-town or can come and pick it up, I'll throw in a professional lesson to teach you how to use the serger.

This is a great opportunity to acquire a serger if you don't already own one. Costumers? If you don't have one I highly recommend acquiring an overlock machine. I'm also going to email some folks who don't read this. First come, first served.

Or serged. Hee hee!

For those of you who want a Babylock Serger, I feel the need to tell you that we still have a few floor models and classroom models for sale at my store. Call me there and ask me about it if you're interested. And yes, we do take trade ins, but not usually on Floor Models (since they're already discounted quite a bit.)
