Break? Ha!
Apr. 13th, 2008 11:38 pmIt was a wonderful weekend.
I got three days "off" in a row, though Friday turned out to be more hectic than I imagined.
I had to help deliver a machine (and set it up and do about 45 minutes worth of "lesson" for the customer) then I went to my father's house to create my New Experiment In Steampunk Technology, then I went to work (but off the clock) and retrieved the designs I needed, then I went Goodwill Hunting with
bakadragon who looks stunning in her new finery, btw.
After all that, I went home and packed up for the whole weekend. Steampunk stuff, birthday stuff, and more.
Loaded the truck, travelled to Mom's, had dinner and mostly passed out.
Though, seeing my brother and his dog was a rare treat. Yay! (His new puppy is a Pug-a-poo. Strangest dog you ever saw, and his poodle hair comes through the pug fur in little tufts. On his head.)
Saturday, The Boy declared his birthday to be "Calvin and Hobbes" style: Do nothing.
To be fair, we went shopping for goggles (semi-successfully) and went out for Sushi for his treat. I also spent the whole day making The Girl a black batiste pinafore as part of her Steampunk gear. (She was freakin' ADORABLE!)
That garment will be displayed at work for a while...
Sunday, we got up, got geared up, got loaded into the car, went to Lion's Choice for roasted beef and photos, and headed to Borders for the Tea Party.
Completely wonderful, but I could use another day of recovery. :(

I'm going to go sleep now...
Goodnight!
