Shhh!

I am sneaking in to Show Me Con tonight to help my Mom with her party in the Artshow. It was going to be a promo party for Crystal Spiral, but one of the roommates fell ill and is taking up the room (no problem.)

So, since Mom and her friends are the ones running the art show, they figured they can open it up, run a party out of it, and take direct sales on the art work. (At last night's "official" artshow party, they sold twice as much art as they did the rest of the weekend, including the auction. Hmm. I see a trend developing...)

I am going to go and promote Crystal Spiral and my new event.

The Goblin Ball is ON!

I need to run the numbers, but I think that we are going to charge about $30 at the door for that one. If you attend Crystal Spiral, your badge is worth that much off of your Ball ticket. (For example, if you attend Crystal Spiral during the day on Saturday, you pay for a $15 badge. If you want to go to the Ball, it's $30. If you want to do BOTH, your total cost is $30.)

This way, I can do cross-promotion for each event!


One more note:
We made a new drink tonight. We're calling it "Pumpkin Juice" after the drink from the Harry Potter novels.
See, we found a boatload of something called "Pumpkin Smash" at the corner liquor store. It was cheap, and the owner kind of shrugged and said, "I don't know what that stuff is. I don't even know if they make it any more."

I may buy out his supply. It is WONDERFUL. And impossible to describe.

We're cutting it with sprite (or Ginger Ale) and adding a bit of spiced rum to up the alcohol content.
