Under lock and key? Nah, just a cut.
May. 14th, 2004 10:21 amHmm.
I read
bradhicks's journal entry, which was locked.
Because he was commenting about his job.
Now, I won't mention his workplace by name, other than to call it what I have been calling it since I was fired from there:
The Salt Mines. In deference to
bradhicks's choice, I am also going to edit the one time I actually spoke the name of the place in one of my journal entries. (If you run really quickly, you might catch it before I cauterize it off of that entry...)
I also called it "Evil Enterprises"-- or, rather, the company who outsources for them. Do you remember the scene from "Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery" where Number Two is updating Dr. Evil about what his Evil Empire has been up to for the last 30 years?
Dr. Evil's company used to be in Volatile Chemicals, but moved into *the telecommunications industry.*
And they outsourced to The Salt Mines, unless I miss my guess.
Now, I don't blame
bradhicks for locking his posts about work. I think it was a fair compromise. But since I am not under contract with The Salt Mines anymore, I can feel free to let his truebelievers and faithful readers know that if they want to read about The Salt Mines in his journal... they should become his "friend."
( Attention: Anyone who works for The Salt Mines! )
The above is really flame-broiled. Just a warning, to those tempted to peek behind the cut.
(Sigh.)
Ahh. I feel better. I hope that all of my friends link to this post. I really would like to make sure that the "right" people see this one. heh heh heh.
