Fine.
thesigother has poked me with a goram meme.
*SIGH*
What were you doing 10 years ago?
10 years ago was 1996.
It was a year of some strangeness. Opened with (let me see...) Three car accidents, a shooting, an explosion, and a fire. (Is that right?)
I had just totaled the 67 Chevy Impala. (Yeah. Poke me to tell THAT story.) It was the beginning of The Year That Sucked. Which was odd, since so many interesting things happened that year. In '96 I:
Watched
the_geoffrey take the pants off of a flaming man. In front of the neighborhood.
Started three new relationships.
Got deathly ill in the middle of a shift at work, had to get someone to come and get me because I was too sick to sit upright, and that same night had my ex come to my workplace and present me with a dozen roses for VD, each with a little note tied to them. And a big mushy card. (Shudder.)
In a fever-addled state, threatened to drown
sevenstars7in icy water. Or something.
Performed in The Jungle Book, as Shere Khan. (Poke me to tell THAT story, I dare ya!)
Was working at the Condo in the CWE.
Moved out, moved back in with Mom.
Put together the "Fractured Fairy Tales" show at Conflation. This one included the Wizard of Oz parody. Oooh. Lovely stories from that year...)
Helped
bradhicks with his parody of Beakman's World (which was a safer-sex educational bit done as a kid's science show...)
Gained some weight.
Moved in with
bradhicks. (Late in the year.)
Continued to work for Halloween Express.
Continued to work for the condo.
Competed in a silly bar contest. Didn't win.
Oh, there's more. It was a full year, lemme tell ya.
Five snacks I enjoy:
1. Artichoke Hearts
2. Edamame
3. Hot brownie a la mode (There, I've covered both the chocolate and the ice cream this way...)
4. REAL popcorn with REAL butter. (I'll eat the microwaved kind, but air or oil is WAY better.)
5. nuts
Five songs to which I know all the lyrics:
1. We Three Kings. All the verses.
2. The song that never ends
3. There's a Hole In The Bucket
4. Anything By Weird Al (Including his original pieces)
5. Mmm. Anything from Peter Pan (the Musical)
Five things I would do if I were a millionaire:
1. Pay off all debts public and private (Amen, thesigother!)
2. Get the big ol' house, no wait, by the time I would be done, you could call it the compound. (Once again, AMEN, thesigother!)
2a. Fill big ol' house with enough room for several people to stay and more to spend the night.
2b. Entertain at home more.
3. Go on a real vacation, somewhere else (Hallelujah, thesigother!)
4. Put the rest away and live on the interest. Occasionally use the money to bail out a friend who needed it.
5. Start a college fund for people in the performing arts. Why *should* actors have to work to put themselves through school? Aren't the various shows they're doing providing them with enough to do? :)
Five bad habits:
1. Not handling my money as well as I would like. (Or, you know. Handling it poorly by ANYONE's definition...)
2. Tardiness.
3. Snoring.
4. OVERFUNCTIONING
5. Taking on too much at once.
Five things I like doing:
1. Performing
2. Dressing up in silly clothes (see above)
3. READING
4. Learning
5. FCCing around on the computer, scanning LJ for new and interesting things and people.
Five things I would never wear, buy or get new again:
1. Acid wash jeans. They just plain don't hold up.
2. Lee Press-on Nails
3. Uh. You know, as a costumer and a collector, there's precious few things in this category for me...
4. Er.
5. *scratches head* I might update this later if I think of anything.
Five favorite toys:
1. MAC
2. Heh. Heh heh.
3. Ellegante
4. THE DOLL COLLECTION
5. Rotary cutter
Tag 5 folks:
