And so are your children!
Labor Day weekend, my mom is hosting her annual "Too Po To Go" party for the folks who can't attend DragonCon, the Olympics, WorldCon (yes I know the weekend is different) and Dragon*Con. Leave me a comment if you managed to avoid her scatter-shot email to every list on the planet, I'll have her email you the details.
September 6th (note: NOT Labor Day Weekend) we are ALSO hosting
thesigother's Birthday Party, with the theme of "OMGWTFBBQ!" Despite the "F" in the title, it *IS* a child-friendly event. Please feel free to bring the little ones along, and be sure to pack a suit for them (for you, too!). There's both a pool and a hot tub, and I'm betting that we can convince
alienzen to do another foam party with it! If you have missed the recent posts about this, or have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me via email, phone, or comments here.
September 27th: Fourth Annual Goblin Ball. I've already posted about this, but I might not have made it clear that if you want to "work" the event, your kids are welcome to help out, too!
For the Lothlorien Festivals, I'm game to bring whole families, for it is a family-friendly environment. However, in THIS case, "Family Friendly" might mean different things to you and I. Lothlorien's festivals are sky-clad-optional, and there will be people there consuming alcohol and other... intoxicants. There *will* be other kids there, and there is an attempt to create programming and the like to entertain the kids. If I'm there, they even have a shot at being on stage as part of my show, and I usually bring at least two craft projects as well. Nothing would delight me more than to bring some STL families/friends to Lothlorien to experience the Magic.
Lothlorien is FILLED with Magic.
The two festivals I'm considering are: WildMagick Gathering and The Witches' Ball. WMG is the weekend before the Goblin Ball and WB is the weekend before Halloween.
Any votes? Anyone want me here in town, instead?
hardrockitty, do you and your fantastic fiancee want to come along and drum/dance until you drop? Wanna help with performances? Wanna get in for FREEE?
They are camping events, but seriously folks, don't let a lack of good equipment bog you down... we have plenty to go around.
Comments are NOT screened, speak up! I want some RSVP action going on here!

Goblin Ball: I would like to help work this event by being a faery for this event and helping to decorate. I would be bringing the munchkin, if thats ok. He's a good helper.
I am also intersted in Wild Magick Festival @ Lothlorian's but I am not sure how this would work with the munchkin being as its camping for 4 days, and we are the bug food pale skinned ppl that we are. We should talk more about this.
