bradhicks's life just fell into the toilet, and he feels like he has to climb a log of shit to get out. However, I am fairly certain that I can help him... there's a toilet brush around here somewhere...

My gig with the Sisters of St. Joseph is coming along nicely. The auction is this Saturday, and I am going to go with my Mom in costume to help sell the idea. I am also going to try to book more gigs from that crowd. But in order to go, I have to miss the 42 party.

I have too much to do this weekend, as usual, and we have the kids. Turns out that my SO's kids are Accident Prone this week. No, really. The 10 year old smashed open his face at the waterpark, and had to have actual stitches right by his eye. The 6.5 year old girl (the one who screams and hollers if she "thinks" she "might" have hurt herself) BROKE HER ARM this week, jumping off a swing.
But wait, it gets better! She broke it ABOVE THE ELBOW! WTF? That takes SKILL. And what kid doesn't LOVE breaking an arm at the BEGINNING OF SUMMER? Still, there's plenty for them to do this weekend, and much of it will involve running around outside with other kids.

Because there are parties for them to attend on Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday this weekend! Sweet! In fact, we may all stay the night at my Mom's house, after her BBQ and farewell party for a friend. I get to do some professional make-up work, (For which I will be paid later) and I might even try to get in some Greek Costuming in the afternoon, for money and food! Of course, that means that I am not home for much of Saturday...

And that means that I don't really get a break this weekend. I have to work on the next several weekends, including the 4th of July weekend. We are talking about putting Allura's birthday party on that weekend, but the problem is that I might be able to go to Michigan and visit my family, as promised.

Because I just found out that there's a paid holiday on the 5th! So it's a three day weekend, and I could go to Michigan, and visit with my family! I could even bring the kids, if my SO will let me...

But that means dragging them all the way to Michigan, and whereas I know that they have done the trip to Ohio, I don't think he wants to cram us into his Saturn, and be the only driver for the trip.
(sigh.)
Fortunately, my anger and frustration are mostly untangled and worked out. I have things at a manageable place, I just need a few pieces to fall into place so that I can make the rest of the summer schedule.
And then, a champagne bubble bath with soft music playing and candlelight.
