One...more...day...thud.
Damn.
I was really hoping to hold out one more day. Instead, the cold/flu/plague that has been stalking me since last week got me today!
Sigh. Well, sighing would be nice, but I have a deep chesty cough and sighing sets it off. Ugh. It does NOT help to have recently read a story that includes a scene where the main characters wind up breathing a poisonous gas that turns your lungs to goo. It adds a tiny echo of horror to my coughing.
Which means, of course, that I'm running a low-grade fever, too. Remember, when I'm like this my overactive imagination turns to the dark side. bleah.
SO I spent today in bed instead of at work, coughing myself awake every so often and trying to drink plenty of water.
Damn it. Damn it. Damn it. I had THINGS to DO this week! Ah, well. I have chicken rice goo in the rice cooker, and it will do for food today. Then I'm going back to bed, probably.
