Went to the loop today. Decided not to do clipboard work for Planned Parenthood, but I posed for a picture and signed a postcard and stuff.

Met the lovely and talented [livejournal.com profile] professor for lunch at Ranoush, which was awesome, of course. Since it was a gorgeous warm spring day, I decided to allow myself to eat some sugar and enjoyed a Knaffe (sp?) and Special Juice!! (Oooh, the Special Juice!!!)

Then we moved my car and got some bubble tea (oh, green tea snow, how I've missed you...) and generally walked the loop. Hit Starclipper and a bunch of other stores that I never seem to get to while they're open. Dropped cash on street musicians and shared my pennies with guy who asked for change.

Today was nearly perfect weather, in my opinion. Very warm in the sun with brisk, cool wind. Brisk enough to blow my hair around, really. I'm rarely happier than when walking in the sun letting my hair blow around wildly.

And... (gasp, deep breath...) Blick is on the loop now! OMG! Squee!
I have an art supply store nearby!

As stated recently in this blog, I've had a reawakening of my artistic desires. At some point, (Likely AFTER the performance on May 25th) I think I'll host a monthly Salon Night and encourage all my artistic folk to come over and play. Of course, I'll need to discuss that with Imminent Roommate. :D

I explained to [livejournal.com profile] professor that while I love being social while face-painting, doing make-up, and BJD crafting, traditional art has always been a solo activity for me. Reading and drawing were things I did by myself for years, so I'm not as keen on doing them surrounded by people. In fact, if I've ever curled up and read a book near you, be aware that it represented a spectacularly high level of comfort with you personally. Art and reading are both escapist activities for me.

What's weird is that while I suddenly have my blood racing to create, the muse herself seems silent. Inspiration is either so scattered and varied that I can't latch on to anything or I draw a complete blank. Hence, back to playing with dolls. I never seem to run out of inspiration with toys in my hands. :D
Oh, speaking of art, toys, and Blick: They have the Sideshow Collectables "Artist Models" *IN STOCK*! The ones with 30 points of articulation? They're basically blank action figures, which means that they're completely customizable, too. They're carrying the figures in grey, but I bet that they can order them in any color you wish. They're about $25.

So, I'm off to try to pack and send a doll, and then work on the house some more. I'm finding all kinds of weird boxes that should have been unpacked over a year ago...
