allura629, most beautiful of the beauties. (That 629 in her LJ handle *means* something, after all...)
Secondly, I just got back from my whirlwind trip to the great state of Michigan. Perhaps I will post more on that subject later, but for now I just felt the need to say...
When you are driving home from somewhere, and you *know* the journey will take more than 7 hours, and you also KNOW that the person in charge of the driving won't be available to leave the state until after 6pm...
Wouldn't you go ahead and make sure you got the day after off work?
Yeah. Sounds clever and forward-thinking, doesn't it?
Your beloved Big Ol' Dork went in to work today, despite the 5 hours of sleep (some of which happened in the car, uncomfortably.)
She did this because she neglected to realize that she's smarter than she looks and she had actually taken TODAY OFF WORK to make sure that she could get home from MI and recover from the trip.
Sigh.
This also means that there will be a startling lack of KUKLA at the big goth Shindig this evening. I kind of hate to miss it, though, since I could distribute handbills amongst the goth crowd for the Steampunk Event on Sunday. Gah.
So maybe there will be an early appearance of KUKLA, frantically distributing information about the Water War on Sunday.
For now, I'm off to crash out and nap.
